Mostaque is awarded an MBE!

We're delighted to share the news that Mostaque Koyes, a board member and Director of Community Interest Luton, has been included in the New Year Honours List and has been awarded an MBE. Mostaque was awarded for his services to the town after raising thousands for a range of different causes, including the recent 'Lets Feed Luton' campaign in collaboration with the Luton and Bedfordshire Community Awards. 

Mostaque said: "It makes me so proud that there are so many people in our town so committed to doing good and improving the lives of others. It is always great to hear about the amazing achievements of people from around the United Kingdom when announcements of this kind are made. I am humbled to be worthy of inclusion."

“I am thankful to all those closest to me. This includes the very many people who have supported my work, especially those from around Luton’s rich and diverse communities and businesses. I include here my family, as well as my amazing team at Community Interest Luton. My success is theirs too, and I accept this huge honour for all of us.”

Mostaque has been a board member at Squared since 2017 bringing his business experience, network of local contacts and local knowledge to help deliver our vision of inspiring lives. He is passionate about making a sustainable difference to people in Luton and shares our passion to combat the cycle of homelessness to transform people's lives for the better. 

He is also involved in a range of other organisations across the town, including ambassadorial roles at Luton Town Football Club and Keech Hospice.
