There can be a range of different reasons why you might require an adaption to your home. Adaptations aim to enhance accessibility and usability, often for individuals with disabilities, while alterations involve structural or layout changes to a property.
If you wish to apply for an adaption, you will need to have an independent Occupational Therapist assessment for us to consider your request.
You may have to apply for a Disabled Facilities Grant for any major works depending on your financial circumstances and you may also be liable for some of the cost towards the works.
Squared reserve the right to refuse major adaptations to a property for a number of reasons including if the property is under-occupied, if there are serious rent arrears, if the property is not suitable for such adaptations or if you have been a tenant for less than a year. This is not an exhaustive list and customers should refer to our policies and procedures for a full list.
