There can be a range of different reasons why you might wish for an alteration to your home. Please be aware however that you should not make any alterations to your property or garden until you have full written permission from Squared.
You must follow the Squared Property Improvements and Alterations Procedure with regards to what you are allowed to build and the process that you must take, e.g. getting planning permission, using a qualified tradesman.
Squared reserves the right to refuse major adaptations to a property for a number of reasons including if it is not suitable for the property, if there are rent arrears on the account, or if the alteration will have a negative effect on the property. This is not an exhaustive list and customers should refer to the policy and procedure for a full list.
You will be responsible for maintaining any alterations that you make to your home.
Please be aware that if you vacate the property any fixed alterations will be left behind. These may qualify for compensation, customers should refer to the policy and procedure for details.
Please note that you do not need to request permission for painting and decorating.
