Internal transfer
An internal transfer means swapping with another Squared customer, while a mutual exchange means swapping with a customer of another landlord or housing provider.
If you wish to apply for a transfer you must have a clear rent account and not be being investigated for breaches of tenancy.
As we have a limited amount of stock there may be a long wait for a transfer so we would also recommend that you try other options to move, such as looking for a Mutual Exchange on www.homeswapper.co.uk. If you need an emergency move, for example if you are suffering from Domestic Violence or cannot remain in the property due to health grounds please speak directly to your Housing Officer who will be able to advise you further.

Mutual exchange
Please note that we do not usually allow under-occupation to occur as a result of a mutual exchange. To apply for an exchange you must have a clear rent account with no arrears. You may only apply for an exchange if you have an Assured or Fair Rent tenancy.
An exchange can only go ahead with permission of all the landlords involved so please ensure that you do not move prior to the permissions and paperwork being completed.
