The name Squared reflects everything we do. When a number’s squared it’s a multiple of itself – it’s more. When it comes to us and our services, we listen… but we listen more, we care… but we care more and we’re supportive… but we’re more supportive.
We’ve been working with our local community for over 60 years and believe our new name is a fitting reflection of us. It reflects the way we foster order, stability, equality, honesty and firm foundations that people can depend on. And it reflects the way we’re all in it together, offering guidance and a clear pathway in all we do, encouraging more balance and a brighter future.

What we do
Squared is a not-for-profit housing association that has been providing affordable housing in Luton and South Bedfordshire since 1962. We strive to find ways to continuously develop and grow with our tenants and residents needs at the heart of everything we do.
We are proud to support the local community and embrace its diversity. Our aim is to empower individuals to make choices about their lives on their journey to lead fulfilled, independent lives, through an innovative approach to tackling local housing needs and homelessness.
We don’t just give people a key, we offer on-going support to unlock their potential. We don’t just give advice; we offer genuine warmth and non-judgmental care. We don’t just provide business services; we offer expert consultancy and management.
We provide homes for independent living and homes with support in Luton and Central Bedfordshire. To complement this work, we also run a lettings service for private landlords; a social enterprise inspired cleaning and gardening service; and an employee excellence focused HR consultancy - People Excellence.
Why we do it
We believe everyone deserves a chance to improve their life. Our goal is to help people get clear on their challenges and how to overcome them and empower them to make the right choices – for now and their future. We aim to be there with practical and emotional support at every step as they make the journey to a happier, independent life.
How we do it
We’ve adopted a coaching culture that focuses on asking people simple but powerful questions. It helps them see for themselves what they need and then make crucial decisions that they follow through on.
This approach not only helps our customers to progress further and faster, it helps our team members to develop as people and professionals too. In turn, this means they’re then able to give our customers even stronger services and support.
